A 'The Voice' Coach Believes His Concerts Are Causing a Baby Boom

If population decline is something you're worried about, Michael Bublé may be the solution to your fears. The Voice coach recently noted that his concerts are resulting in a population boom in the cities where he's performed.

"I don't know what the population of those places is, but I know that nine months after I play those outdoor gigs they're going to double," Buble said. His comments came when appearing on BBC's Good Morning Ulster radio on Wednesday, April 29.

Bublé credited the romantic experience of attending one of his concerts as the leading cause of the baby boom in cities that he visits.

"It's so romantic. Especially those outdoor gigs. You're under the stars, listening to these songs, and you're swaying out there, and you're having a couple of glasses of wine," he continued.

In fact, Bublé is so proud of his baby-inducing concerts that he's even begun using a specific name for infants conceived following one of his shows.

"It's an aphrodisiac," he continued. "I like to call them 'Bublé-bies'."

Bublé is currently preparing for a tour around the United Kingdom and Ireland. The run of shows begins on June 27 and will span six dates, with the last being in Scarborough, England. England could be facing a baby boom in early 2027. Well, that is if his confidence in his baby-making concerts turns out to be real.

'The Voice' Coach Michael Bublé Doesn't Tour as Much as He Used To

Unfortunately for those concerned with the current trend in the population, Bublé isn't a touring machine anymore. In fact, the singer has admitted that he 'slowed down' his touring once he became a father.

"I love being a Dad," he said.

However, judging by Bublé's comments, it would appear he's taken his four children, Noah, Elias, Vida and Cielo over to the UK with him. "They love being over there with me, so it's going to be fun," he told the radio show.

Bublé, 50, should put his claims to the test. After all, six dates in six cities should make it easy to track whether there's a spike in birth rates nine months later. It would be wild if what he says turns out to be true.
