Big news, Kevin Fowler fans! Fowler just announced his upcoming album Coming To A Honky Tonk Near You.
The album officially drops Friday, Oct. 21. Honky Tonk Near You is only eight songs, but Fowler made sure every single one was worth its place on the record.
"As I was trying to decide which songs to cut, these eight songs stood out to me and immediately became my favorites," Fowler said in a press release. "I think our fans are going to love this record as much as I do. This is the best thing I've done since 'Loose, Loud and Crazy,' and I can't wait for everyone to hear it."
Fowler released "Sellout Song" a few months back. As you can guess, the sarcastic tune pokes fun at songs with shallow lyrics. It features an inspired rap bridge by fellow Texan Zane Williams. The song since found some ironic success, too.
Fowler teamed up again with producer and artist Trent Willmon for the record. As Cody Johnson's go-to guy, Willmon's producer star is certainly rising.
But the album isn't just a jab at modern country trends, according to Fowler. The record also stays true to the classic sound that slowly pushed Kevin Fowler to the top of Texas country.
As the title of the album suggests, Fowler is probably headed to a honky tonk near just about every Texan. Check out his upcoming tour dates and be sure to preorder your copy of Coming To A Honky Tonk Near You.
