Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Named PEOPLE's Top 'Reason to Love America'

Well, well, well, it looks like Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is making headlines again. Not only has his decade-long career made him one of the highest-paid actors in the world, but apparently he now sits on top of PEOPLE's '100 Reasons to Love America' list. Honestly, is there anything this guy can't do?

Let's not forget him being crowned PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive back in 2016, too. Despite all his accolades, apparently, he's more humble now than ever. Speaking with the magazine, Johnson stated, "It feels great. I've been a lucky guy over the years to have the career that I've been blessed enough to have and things like this, I'm always appreciative. We're here in Hawaii, where I did a lot of my growing up... I was just Dwayne Johnson, the kid who's having a hard time going to school making his classes. I never expected in my wildest of wild dreams that I would ever be in a position to be on the cover of PEOPLE - and certainly not with this kind of title."

The former WWE wrestler has one of Hollywood's biggest names with a-list movies including Jumanji with Kevin Hart, Hobbs & Shaw, and of course Fast & The Furious. Earlier this year he even met headlines after a poll stated that Americans wouldn't mind if he became president of the United States. Which is probably why PEOPLE magazine named him the number one reason to love America in the first place. Speaking about 'the award,' Johnson said that being an American means having the perfect avenue for hard work and dedication to pay off.

He stated, "I love our country to my core and I'm endlessly grateful for the opportunities I've had here, as a half-Black, half-Samoan kid being able to work my a— off knowing tenacity opens doors. In a lot of ways, I'm indebted to our great country for it." But, the actor did note that he is not a politician nor does he have any interest in politics. Still, it would be pretty funny to say that The Rock is your president. Move over, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Throughout the year Johnson has been very busy building up his business empire. Some of his ventures include Seven Bucks production company, a partnership with Under Armour, Zoa energy drink, and Teremana Tequila. Now I know what you're thinking, another celebrity with another alcohol brand. But as someone who is an actual fan of tequila, and was raised drinking it, I will say I actually enjoyed drinking it.

The actor stated that during last year's Coronavirus pandemic, he became more appreciative of his life with his 36-year old wife Lauren Hashian, and daughters Jasmine and Tia. He also has another daughter, 19-year-old Simone, who he shares with his ex-wife and production partner Dany Garcia. Speaking about the pandemic, Johnson stated, "It was a shakeup for us. I did this weird thing every day where I still got up and got dressed like I was getting ready to go someplace. I mean, shoes and all. That helped me psychologically. From a relationship and marriage standpoint, you realize you have to really be attentive to your reactions and responses, because your patience capacity starts to compress."

So yeah, now you know, America now basically equals Dwayne Johson.
