Jamie Lee Curtis has opened up about how she's gotten closer with Rob Reiner's kids after their parents were tragically murdered. As reported by E!News, the Freaky Friday alum is a longtime family friend - and helped them out after their passing.
"We are family," she wrote of her bond with 28-year-old Romy and 35-year-old Jake. "Something like this brings people so much closer."
"Jake and I were sitting shoulder-to-shoulder doing an interview," Jamie Lee Curtis recalled, "and just feeling him there is emotional, and then of course him talking about his parents and their fantastic relationship."
She also revealed that Rob and Michele Reiner haven't had a public burial yet, which is something that has left their kids grieving over. "There hasn't been a big public memorial yet, and so we're all grieving."
Their relationship was very close, which is something Jamie Lee Curtis has talked about in previous interviews. "I'm obviously a close friend of theirs; we got married at Rob's house on Dec. 18, 1984. Rob was the best man."
