An NFL star just took to social media to reveal he was hospitalized, explaining he suffered "unexplained neurological symptoms."

"Recently, I experienced an unexpected and unusual medical emergency involving a series of unexplained neurological symptoms that required hospitalization for several days," New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson detailed in a statement posted to X this morning (Nov. 6).
"During that time, I underwent extensive medical testing and evaluation,' the 24-year-old NFL star continued. "While the results of my comprehensive medical testing have come back positive and reassuring, the cause of this remains unknown and unexplainable."
"I will continue working closely with specialists and physical therapists to focus on my recovery, as these symptoms have affected my strength, coordination, and some of my physical functions. I am committed to doing everything necessary to return to full health.
"My health and long-term well-being remain my foremost priorities," Henderson added.
"My wife and I are deeply grateful for family and loved ones, the New England Patriots organization, my agent, my medical team, teammates, and everyone who has offered prayers, encouragement, and support," he went on to say."We respectfully ask for continued prayers and privacy as we focus on my health and recovery."

Of course, the NFL star's candid post was met with overwhelming support in the replies on X.
"Prioritize yourself. Your mental health. Your well-being. So much respect. Get well soon, brother," one NFL fan wrote. "Good luck and get well. Extremely scary," another fan added.
Other concerned NFL fans turned into armchair experts, offering plenty of unsolicited medical advice to the young NFL player.
"If you have any cervical pathology, request an upright MRI. Don't know what you're dealing with, but sometimes compression only shows in upright positions,' one fan urged. "Make sure they check you for Lyme," another fan suggested, as though a pro athlete worth millions wasn't already exhausting every possibility.
Meanwhile, Henderson was first listed with an illness on Thursday's Week 8 injury report, suggesting the medical emergency happened between last Wednesday's and Thursday's practices. His statement suggests he could be out for a while.
So far, the New England Patriots haven't given a timeline for Henderson's possible return.
