On Monday, November 2, country music trio 'The Chicks' postponed their Los Angeles show, just hours before they were due to take to the stage. The group is currently working through a sold-out tour, which is celebrating the 20th anniversary of their 2006 smash-hit album Taking The Long Way.

"The Chicks' performance tonight, Monday, November 2, at the Dolby Theatre has been rescheduled due to illness," the band wrote on Instagram. "The rescheduled date is Wednesday, November 4. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date. If you're unable to attend the new date, refunds will be available at your point of purchase. If you are able to attend the rescheduled date, no action is required. The Chicks apologize for any inconvenience."
Despite the update, the trio didn't provide any information as to which band member had fallen ill. Nevertheless, fans will undoubtedly have been disappointed at the turn of events, especially as the decision was made on the day of the event.
"The Chicks kicked off their Taking the Long Way 20th Anniversary Tour on Sept. 30 at the Fox Theatre in Detroit, Mich. The band has been celebrating two decades of its five-time Grammy-winning 2006 album, which includes their hit song "Not Ready to Make Nice," PEOPLE reports.
Fans React to the Chicks Postponing Their Show
Fans were quick to share their frustrations with The Chicks after they posted their message on postponement online.
"To say this an hour and 1/2 before the doors open is WILD," one irate fan wrote in the comments. "We came all the way from San Diego. Hotel paid all the expenses for this."
Another fan echoed the frustration, noting that they'd flown in from Phoenix to attend the show.
"My husband and 11-year-old daughter have been so excited to see you," the fan wrote. "It was going to be her first concert. We came in from Phoenix specifically for the concert tonight. We can't stay until Wednesday, and she is heartbroken. Hoping it's nothing serious and you feel better soon."
Postponing a show at the last minute is never going to go down well with a fanbase. Still, it's unlikely The Chicks would have made such a decision if they were well enough to take to the stage. Hopefully, those who can attend on Wednesday enjoy a memorable performance.
