The Woman's Boyfriend Also Allegedly Assaulted Her

The New York Post reports that 24-year-old Priscila Lacerda Custodio told an unidentified friend that her boyfriend, João Roberto Bolelli, hired people to watch her. He also allegedly threatened to kill her.

Bolelli also acted paranoid toward Custodio. He asked her about trips she took and often accused her of cheating on him. Four days before her murder on Friday, Oct. 23, he also allegedly assaulted the digital marketer.

Bolelli scared Custodio so much that she had her brother and a friend accompany her on a trip to her boyfriend's São Paulo ranch to return a truck she had used.

However, the couple began arguing before she arrived. Custodio said she had had enough and ended the relationship. When she arrived at Bolelli's ranch, he allegedly shot her in the chest and arm.

A Warrant Has Been Issued for the Cattle Rancher's Arrest

Bolelli then allegedly aimed the gun at Custodio's brother and chased him down before fleeing the scene.

The investigation is being treated as femicide. Meanwhile, a warrant has been issued for Bolelli's arrest.

Juliana Amaral, a friend of Custodio, says the businesswoman was a "wonderful person" whose life "was cut short by an evil man."

"She was beautiful, charming, and extremely polite," she added. "In three years of friendship, I never saw her speak badly of anyone."

This is not the first time Bolelli has been in this kind of trouble. He was convicted of breaching protective orders obtained by a former partner in Dec. 2021. He was sentenced to three months and 15 days in prison.

A legal representative for Bolelli said the case was being reviewed. However, the suspect had not been in touch.
