Taylor Swift gave her acceptance speech at the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame induction on Monday, October 26. As you would expect, it was emotional, humbling, and at times, rather funny. One standout moment from Swift's induction was her revelation of a prank Brad Paisley played on her all the way back in 2007.

At the time, Swift was opening up for Paisley on his "Bonfires & Amplifiers Tour." Paisley had clearly decided this was the perfect time to play a prank on the budding singer. However, it would appear he took things too far. According to Swift, he released "thousands" of live crickets onto her tour bus.

"Brad Paisely, thank you so much for that introduction,"

However, Swift was so touched by how Paisley introduced her to the crowd at the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame induction that she noted she's willing to let "bygones be bygones."

"You know what? You did such an amazing job with that introduction, I think we can let bygones be bygones," she said. "We're good now."

Taylor Swift Is Proud of Her Country Roots

Swift might be a pop superstar, but that doesn't mean she's forgotten her roots. During an interview for the "Grammys Icon Sessions," she spoke glowingly about her country music past.

"I love my country roots more and more the further along this path I get and I want to honor them more and more," Swift said, via Rolling Stone. "I feel more tied to them, more loyal to them ... The people that shaped who I am as an artist and as a writer, that all happened in Nashville."

Swift recently released her first country song in years, titled "I Knew It, I Knew You."

Of course, her fans will be hoping for more country music from Swift in the years to come. For now, though, she should look back on her career with pride. The fact that she's still only 36 is mind-blowing; there's so much more she can go on to achieve, and so much more music left for her to create. We're truly witnessing historic greatness in real time.
