Her Children Called 911

As the New York Post reports, authorities released a video of 50-year-old photographer Irene Miller being arrested as her plane touched down on Friday, Oct. 23. She was charged with four counts of child neglect without great bodily harm, according to deputies.

While she was away in Vegas, one of her children called 911 from her home in Kissimmee, Florida. The Osceola County Sheriff's Office said in a news release that the call reported Miller's 9-year-old brother had been hurt by a dumbbell that had fallen on his head.

When deputies arrived, they found four children, ages 9 to 14, with no adult supervision. Authorities took the 9-year-old to the hospital for treatment. However, the extent of his injuries remains unknown.

The Mother Was in Las Vegas for Work

Investigators contacted Miller over the phone. They learned she had left for Vegas the previous Sunday for work and planned to return to Florida five days later. According to social media, the mother of four was working with a client involved with a real estate brokerage franchise network.

Miller told deputies she hired a babysitter to care for her kids before and after school. However, the sitter was not required to stay overnight. Authorities then called the children's father to take them to his home.

Bodycam footage shows officers escorting and cuffing Miller as her plane touched down at a Florida airport. Officers then booked her at the Orange County Jail.

In a statement, Sheriff Chris Blackmon said, "The Osceola County Sheriff's Office will not tolerate child neglect. These cases will be investigated, and charges will be brought against the parents who are not properly supervising or caring for their children."
