The MTV star passed away on Oct. 1, her friend, Tiara Ramos, shared in a tribute earlier this month.
"The way she showed up for her friends, fiercely loyal and loving to the end, was on a whole different level," Ramos wrote in part in the Substack post titled Breast Friends Forever: RIP to my Sister. "Anika was beautiful, inside and out. She was kind. She loved without limits."
"[Anika] loved life," Ramos continued. " She lived life; She experienced things others could only dream of."
Ramos also shed light on the shock of the MTV favorite's cancer diagnosis last year.
"Despite her mother having breast cancer years earlier, she was never identified as high-risk or told by her doctors to prioritize mammograms," Ramos wrote. "That was one of the many failures she experienced within the medical system during her time battling cancer. But that is a story for another day..."
Meanwhile, Ramos also pointed out how her friend showed unparalleled bravery in a short life that was still well lived.
She "appeared on reality TV not once but twice, went skydiving on a first date with a random guy, and started creating her own businesses from the time she was a little girl."
Anika Rashaun Worked as a Dating Coach After Her Time on MTV
The MTV personality appeared on The Real World: Bad Blood in 2016 and The Challenge: Invasion of the Champions in 2017. After stepping back from reality TV, she reinvented herself, working as a dating coach. According to her Instagram, she was working toward becoming a licensed marriage and family therapist.
She married her partner, Kyle Rehn, on this past Valentine's Day.
"99 days till I get to marry my person," Rashaun wrote on Instagram in November 2025. "This year has been everything but normal, so many ups and downs and changes we had to endure and work around, but I'm happy that the one thing that remained the same was our love for each other. I can't wait to be your wifey..."
Her friend Cyndi Rich paid tribute to her on what would've been her 35th birthday.
Rashaun "lived her years fully with a stacked calendar, juggling all her dreams, invites from friends, and always showing up," she wrote in part in the Oct. 22
Facebook post."It breaks my heart that Anika's journey ended the way it did. She deserves so much more," Rich added.
