Britt McHenry, one of the members of Donald Trump's administration, has found herself in the hot seat for her alleged actions during a recent NBA game.
The Washington Wizards kicked off their 2026-27 NBA season on Wednesday (October 21). It was their home opener against the Milwaukee Bucks. So, of course, there was a who's who of tastemakers at Capital One Arena. One of the tastemakers in attendance appeared to be Trump staffer Britt McHenry.
In September, McHenry was named a Press Advisor for the U.S. Department of State.
Trump Staffer Britt McHenry Appears to Throw Drink at Fan
Unfortunately, the appearance at the game was short-lived.
One of the arena staffers appeared to try to diffuse the situation. But the woman was having none of it. She appeared to begin arguing with the staffer. The staffer had enough of the woman's antics. And appeared to call the arena's security team to escort her out of the building. But not before she made a grandiose exit. The woman chucked a drink at the fan and began to blow kisses to the crowd. Other members of the crowd threw garbage in her direction as she was escorted out.
Nearby fans could also be heard asking if the woman was Britt McHenry.
Her antics continued even after she had exited the arena bowl. She continued to argue with the staffers. She asked why she was being told to leave the arena as she was escorted to the door. However, security did not appear to be interested in providing her with an explanation as she was shown the exit.
Fans React to Viral Clip
The clip went viral on social media, which of course led to an outpouring of reactions.
"I love the exaggerated jaw drop when security told her she had to leave," one person wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"She's got some real DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM? energy going on there," another user chimed in.
"I see this in movies and TV shows all the time. What's the big deal?" a third user remarked.
At the time of writing, McHenry has not confirmed whether she is the woman in the clip throwing the drink.
