Taking a stand and expressing political opinions can come at a high cost. In the current tense environment presided over by a president who inspires very strong positive and negative feelings, declaring one's beliefs can be tricky. However, some prominent figures could not care less. They are proudly on board with Donald Trump and the chips will fall wherever they fall. One notable personality who is firmly in Trump's camp is Kid Rock. He says that he is willing to accept the consequences, come what may.

In fact, Kid Rock recently shared with Fox News Digital that his political leanings have probably made him lose out on late-night TV show guest bookings and corporate work. Still, he seemingly isn't changing his stance. Kid Rock likes Donald Trump and doesn't care who knows it.
At 55, the man born Robert James Ritchie is at peace with his choices, political and professional.
Kid Rock Conceded That His Career Has Been Affected by His Friendship With Trump
He shared with the outlet, "My relationship with Trump, yeah, that canceled all the, uh, any corporate deals coming my way. I don't really get invited to be part of, you know, things like the NFL or things like that ... all the shows that I was so friendly with over the years, from all the late-night talk shows to my friend Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon, I don't really get invited on there anymore."
Kid Rock then added, "But who's to say that won't change ... and I honestly, I don't care."
He also clarified his priorities. "I put my country before pretty much everything except my family and God. So, yeah. There's been things like that, but that's no sweat off my back."
What's Important to Him Has Shifted
He told the outlet that the music industry is less of an overwhelming presence in his life now. "I didn't enjoy the rat race of the music business. It was very necessary, and I'm glad I did it. And I'm thankful for all the opportunities that got me to where I am today. But the message I'm putting out now is so much more important than any of that."
Kid Rock feels happily liberated from the constraints of his profession and those who dominate it. "And years ago, when I went on this path to be more vocal and outspoken, I knew that stuff was going to go away. But man, let me tell you what freedom feels like. To be able to speak your mind anywhere, anytime and really exercise ... the freedom of speech that so many brave souls died for, to be able to express that, when I want and how I want and not have to worry about anything in between."
Kid Rock has definitely not walked away from music, however. He has a new album, Halfway 2 Jesus.
