Everyone these days wants things signed. It's like a rite of passage once you're a popular artist - having someone come up to you and practically beg for your autograph.
Whilst some people are more "normal" about it, asking for book or photo autographs, others are a little more unhinged. But one thing I doubt you've ever heard of before is people's ashes!
Well, that's one of a few crazy things that popular singer Alex Warren has signed. And, as reported by People, he doesn't mind the things they bring.
He opened up about the wild signing requests in an interview with Rolling Stone. There, he revealed that his life's challenges made him feel alone. "For me, specifically, when I was homeless or when I met my wife or when I lost my parents, there were these feelings of aloneness," he explained.
"I felt like I was alone in that feeling and I was the only one who could experience that." And then, he started to use his songs as an outlet for his emotions - and people really resonated with that.

Fans of the Singer Appreciated His Songs About His Parents
"As I've made these songs and I played these shows," he explained, "people will bring their dead parents to my show." For him, that's quite the poignant thing. After all, both of his parents have passed on - his dad died of kidney cancer when he was 9, and his mom died of liver and renal failure in 2021.
"They'll put the ashes in the urn or in a bag," he explained. "...and they'll bring them to my show and have me sign them". Of course, for most people, that would certainly make them "uncomfortable".
But, he made a point of saying that he "loved" it. "You get to keep that person alive," the singer continued. "With every conversation... you have this beautiful memory."
He added, "You can't control loss, you can't control grief, but you can control how you react to it." For anyone who has lost a loved one, that's a pretty darn poignant statement. Good on him for what he does, even if others find it a little strange!
