Stewart, 23, was arrested early on Sunday, Oct. 18 after officers alleged he was driving under the influence of intoxicants, according to Springfield, Ore. arrest records.

The fifth-year senior did not play in the game against Nebraska due to an undisclosed injury.

KATU reported that Stewart was booked into Springfield Municipal jail around 7 AM. He was detained for roughly an hour before being released to his Ducks teammate Dakorien Moore.

"We are aware of the incident and are gathering information at this time," a spokesperson for the university's football program told KATU.

Stewart was a consensus five-star recruit at Liberty High School in Frisco, Texas before committing to Texas A&M. He later transferred to Oregon in 2024 and had success in his debut season.

The 6-foot, 175 pound receiver finish second among Ducks with 48 receptions for 613 yards and five touchdowns.

The speedy student-athlete had 23 receptions of 10-plus yards, seven of 20-plus yards, five of 30-plus yards and two of 60-plus yards that season, according to his player profile.

Stewart was named an All-Big Ten honorable mention.

Oregon has not announced if he will face suspension for his DUII arrest.

College Football Powerhouse Dismisses Top Recruit

Last week, Florida State dismissed former five-star recruit Chuck Kennon after his high-speed police chase and arrest.

Kennon, 18, was driving his Dodge Durango at 79 MPH in a 50 MPH zone when an officer flashed his lights and instructed him to pull over.

During the pursuit, the SUV reportedly topped 150 MPH, ran a red light and hit a curb, UPI reported.

After a flat tire brought the car to a halt, a responding officer witnessed Kennon ditch his female passenger and flee to a nearby industrial plant.

Kennon was arrested on Monday in Hillsborough County, Florida. The former Seminoles player has been charged with second-degree felony aggravated fleeing to elude, third-degree felony false imprisonment and resisting an officer without violence.

He is currently being held in Falkenburg Road Jail.

The school confirmed Kennon's dismissal to ESPN on Tuesday, citing "conduct detrimental to the team."

Kennon was the No. 56 overall recruit on the SC Next ESPN 300 in 2026. He chose Florida State over Georgia, LSU, Florida, Oregon and Miami.
