The "Blue Bloods" Star Said, "God Covered Us"

As PEOPLE reports, the jet Wahlberg was on went off the runway and into a fence. However, the 57-year-old actor says the aircraft was able to avoid "heavy" airport vehicles and equipment.

"We were taking off and didn't get up in the air and ran out of runway," he said on an Instagram video. "I'm just going to tell you these pilots saved our lives. And God covered us... We just finished praying, and I looked out the window and said, 'We are not getting up in the air today. But we're safe and thankful, and all is well.'"

In the post's caption, Wahlberg wrote that he sent the video to his family before uploading it. He added that, since "so many of you all are my family too," he wanted to post it.

"It was me and my team/friends onboard the aircraft. It was a rather intense few moments," he wrote. "Thankful to God, of course, and to our incredible pilots who did an amazing job of keeping us safe and avoiding a serious disaster. The airplane did take some lumps — but we did not."

He added, "Thank you to all the emergency personnel on the ground in Las Vegas! You all were absolutely wonderful."

A Video Captured What Happened to the Jet Carrying Donnie Wahlberg

The jet carrying the Blue Bloods star was bound for Toronto Pearson Airport in Canada, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). There were eight people on board.

A TikTok post appeared to have captured the minutes after the jet's takeoff was aborted. A voice was heard saying, "Aborting. Aborting." The controller confirmed emergency vehicles were on their way, then asked whether anyone was injured.

In a statement, the airport confirmed no known injuries and two of the airport's runways would be closed for inspection. A ground stop was put in place at 12:50 p.m. It was lifted by 2:30 p.m.

Wahlberg had performed with New Kids on the Block for the final show of its Las Vegas residency on Oct. 17.

Still upset Blue Bloods was cancelled. It was so wholesome and balanced, but I'm looking forward to this. Hope they have the same wholesomeness and balance and we see returning characters.
