The announcement marks an encouraging development following the comedian's hospitalization Sept. 18. According to Entertainment Weekly, authorities discovered Thompson unconscious in the backyard of his Las Vegas residence after a reported suicide attempt.

Thompson was transported to a nearby hospital, where he received emergency medical treatment. His representatives initially requested privacy while confirming that he was receiving care and support from medical professionals and loved ones.

The statement added, "Humor has always been such an important part of who Scott is and how he connects with people. And that remains true today as he shares moments of humor with the medical staff caring for him. The Luxor and MGM Resorts previously expressed their support for the comedian, describing him as a valued member of their entertainment family.

"Scott is a beloved member of the Luxor and MGM Resorts family. And we are relieved to hear that he is recovering," the hotel told KLAS. "We are thinking of him and wish him strength as he receives the care and support he needs."
