The passing of the Queen of Country Dolly Parton rocked, and continues to rock the world. The world has never, and will never have, another legend just quite like her.
Of course, it's one thing being a fan of her work, musical or philanthropic. But that pain must be so much more personal if you were close to her.
And one person who is continuing to feel that pain is Miley Cyrus, Parton's goddaughter. After she died on August 26, Cyrus expressed just how she was feeling in a tribute post on social media.
"The feeling of losing my Aunt Dolly is beyond what feels right to share," she wrote. "Our most sacred moments were private and they'll stay there behind the stage, beneath the glamour & between our hearts."
She added at the time, "What I KNOW is Dolly would want me to feel it, write a song about it, and then continue on and be strong. I have an angel by my side. I always have. One of our last conversations was about music and metamorphosis."
And that feeling of music and metamorphosis is something that Miley Cyrus brought to her latest tribute to Dolly Parton, per Page Six.

She Broke Down on Stage While Paying Tribute to Dolly Parton
Cyrus was performing at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on Friday night - where she decided she wanted to pay tribute to the Queen of Country.
"Me and Dolly, we are eternal," she said. "Nothing in this life could ever tear us apart. And I'm going to see her again," she said through tears. "And I can't f****** wait because I miss her."
She also shared a personal anecdote of the pair during one of Dolly's performances at the venue. She explained that she once asked Parton to enjoy one of her shows as a regular fan.
But, this is Dolly Parton we're talking about... so, in classic Dolly fashion, her first song was from Hannah Montana - "The Best Of Both Worlds". She then announced that Cyrus was right there in the crowd!
Following the story, she then proceeded to launch into one of Dolly Parton's greatest hits, 1973's "Jolene". As she belted out the iconic song, a picture of Dolly Parton appeared behind her.
