A college football player has died after suffering a tragic injury mid-game. As reported by the New York Post, sophomore defensive back Tyler Ulrich had been taken to hospital after suffering a head injury.
The college football player was playing in a match for Southern Nazarene University against Ouachita Baptist University on Saturday.

The president of the SNU, Keith Newman, released a heartbreaking statement confirming the college football star's passing. "Earlier today, Tyler Ulrich, a beloved member of our SNU football team and student body, pased away."
"Tyler sustained a traumatic injury during last Saturday's football game. Since that time, he has been in the hospital, continually surrounded by the love, prayers, and presence of his family, teammates, and dear friends."
His statement concluded, "Please keep Tyler's family, teammates, coaches, and friends in your continued prayers during this unimaginably difficult time." He added that counsellors and pastors on campus would be available to support anyone "who needs assistance to process this sorrow".
The SNU have cancelled their upcoming game with Southwestern Oklahoma State University following his tragic passing.
