Reality TV personality Teddi Mellencamp, daughter of rock legend John Mellencamp, took to her Instagram stories to share details about her recent cosmetic surgery as her treatment for stage 4 melanoma continues.

It all started when the 45-year-old's surgeon, Dr. Sarmela Sunder, shared some behind-the-scenes snaps of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star's upper blepharoplasty surgery. The procedure shaves off extra skin on the patient's eyelids.

Mellencamp claimed her notifications surged, sending her to IG to clarify the situation.

"The things that I can tell you, that I don't need to keep answering, is, of course, it was fine with my cancer doctors, that's why I agreed to do it," she lectured her Instagram followers, per PEOPLE. "I was awake; I get my stitches out Thursday. I have immunotherapy Wednesday."

She added that more details of the plastic surgery would be revealed on her podcast.

Teddi Mellencamp's Cancer Journey Began in 2022

Mellencamp's cancer journey began in 2022, with her revealing she had been diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma. Despite surgeries, the cancer spread to her brain and lungs by 2025. Four tumors were removed from her brain via surgery. The reality TV personality has since been undergoing regular immunotherapy treatments.

Last month, she opened up about the ongoing immunotherapy treatments. She admitted to "shaking like a leaf," in a series of videos she posted to her Instagram stories on Sept. 16, per PEOPLE.

"I'm so nervous," she continued. "I don't know why I have to get like this. I'm freezing, shaking. It happens to me every single time before, and then I think I get really nervous that they're not going to be able to find my vein, because a lot of times they can't, because I've had so many of these appointments now."

"I feel like today's got to be a good day. And I know it's saving my life, but gosh," Mellencamp added.

Meanwhile, the mother of three isn't letting cancer or plastic surgery derail her love life. According to Page Six, she's currently dating an older beau despite not yet being divorced from her estranged husband, fellow TV personality Edwin Arroyave.
