During an Oct. 12 appearance on SiriusXM's Trunk Nation with Eddie Trunk, Slash discussed the band's world tour.
"The last run that we just did. The one that we're sort of, like, on the tail end of, has been awesome," Slash said of the band's reunion tour. "And as far as I'm concerned, the last US run that we just finished was the best U.S. run that I feel like we'd done since it started. And the European run, the same. So this last year or so has been really f----g cool. Not to say that the years before that [weren't], but it just keeps getting better. So it's a blast, man."
Guns N' Roses Will Not Tour in 2027
Slash said that after their world tour, which includes stops in Mexico, Brazil, Europe and Australia, Guns N' Roses plans to take a lengthy hiatus.
"We'll get done with [the world tour], and next year basically Guns is off."
Slash said he is hopeful that time away from touring will give them the chance to finish up their next project.
"I'm hoping that, because we have so much material that we need to sort of, like, put together and start getting into that whole phase. So I'm hoping that's what the next phase is gonna be."
He added, "We have so much material. It's all over the place. That's one of the things that's been hard to do. The amount of time and focus it takes to sort of get all that material together and start working on it."
Slash confessed that it's virtually impossible to refine and complete an album while touring.
"It doesn't work on the road," the 61-year-old rock star said. "Writing on the road for me is easy. I'm the only one that seems to like to sort of sit up all night and do that. But [Guns N' Roses bassist] Duff [McKagan] does his own thing. Axl [Rose] does his own thing. And so we're all creating on the road just individually. But getting us together and trying to do that while you're touring is next to impossible."
Guns N' Roses is scheduled to perform Oct. 29 and Nov. 1 at the Hollywood Bowl. The Hollywood Bowl is the band's final US tour date before heading overseas for the Asian leg of their world tour.
