How Is Travis Tritt Doing?
The 63-year-old Tritt had been dealing with pneumonia for nearly a month. Fans grew concerned about the "I'm Gonna Be Somebody" singer and offered him prayers for a swift recovery.
In a video message posted Wednesday, Oct. 14, Tritt gave fans an update on his condition.
"I'm back!" he said. "Just want to say, first of all, most of you know, I've been struggling with trying to recoup from having pneumonia the last few weeks, and it's been a rough go, but I'm finally back good enough to where I feel normal again."
Tritt says he's feeling so good that he and his band are planning to do three big shows this weekend, Oct. 15-17.
"We're looking forward to being out, but I wanted to say more than anything else, thank you to everyone who sent get well wishes, sent your prayers during the time that I was kind of down and out," he said. "It's appreciated more than you'll ever know, and I'm looking forward to being back out there again. I feel great."
The Singer Felt "A Bit Weak and Sluggish"
Late last month, Tritt told fans that he had been dealing with pneumonia symptoms for several weeks. This led him to postpone some shows.
"I'm sorry to report that I was diagnosed with pneumonia earlier this week," he wrote. "Turns out that pneumonia was actually present for the past 2 weeks, but I didn't know it, because I've never had it before. I just knew I felt a bit weak and sluggish."
Then last week, Tritt announced that he had to cancel a show in Erie, Pennsylvania, because of his ongoing illness.
Fans took to the comments today to share how glad they were that the singer was feeling better. You can watch his entire message below.
