Soap Star Declined Medical Treatment Before Cardiac Arrest
The report also adds that the soap opera star had been complaining about pain in his "chest, neck and left arm" that same evening.
Kelker-Kelly's wife, Allison Kelly, told the police that she had picked her husband up from the airport on the evening of October 3. She said that he first began to experience the pain on their ride home from the airport.
Allison's said that she suggested that her husband go to the emergency room to get checked out for his symptoms. But he declined to go to the hospital. He opted to just get some rest at their home in Missouri. Once they got back to the house, the actor was still experiencing pain. He asked his wife to get him a dose of aspirin from their restroom. When Allison returned from the restroom, she found her husband lying in the bed, unresponsive.
"Upon arrival, I contacted the reporting party, identified as Allison Kelly. Allison stated she discovered her husband, identified as Robert Kelly, unresponsive in their bedroom. Allison stated she called 911 and began CPR," an officer wrote in the police report obtained by Page Six.
The officer also added: "Robert was lying in bed on his back with his head facing east and his feet facing west. Robert was wearing a black T-shirt and grey boxers at the time of contact. The St. Charles County Ambulance District (SCCAD) arrived on scene and began providing medical attention for Robert, who was unresponsive and not breathing."
Allison also told investigators that Kelker-Kelly did not have any underlying health issues that she was aware of that could have caused the cardiac arrest.
The actor was 62 years old.
