Ella Langley wasn't impressed when Riley Green seemed to take credit for her success on a recent episode of The Voice. During the Sept. 22 episode of the popular singing show, Green was attempting to convince the country duo of Ferryn & Brinkley to join his team.

Part of Green's pitch was that he'd previously worked with Langley, who had toured with him in 2024 and 2025. Green and Langley also have two hit releases together with "You Look Like You Love Me" and "Don't Mind If I Do."
"There was a girl that reminded me a lot of y'all. I took her on tour with me. Her name's Ella Langley. She's doing pretty well," Green said.
It seems the pitch worked, as the two sisters ultimately chose Green as their coach. Now, there's no guarantee that Green's work with Langley swayed their decision; he's a megastar in his own right after all, but the pitch probably didn't hurt, either.
However, Langley has since been asked for her thoughts on Green's comments. The question came during a recent Instagram Live session on Thursday, October 8.
"When Riley took credit for your success on 'The Voice,' did that rub you the wrong way?!" a fan asked in the comments section, prompting a response from Langley, via Page Six.
Ella Langley Called the Riley Green Situation 'Typical'
At the time of the livestream, Langley was getting her hair and makeup done. Still, she took the time to respond to the fan and made her position on the situation very clear.
"Yeah, when that man took credit? No, didn't love that, but typical. Typical. Pretty typical," Langley said.
Langley's comments are fair. Who would enjoy someone taking credit for their success? Did Green help along the way? Sure, he could say that. However, it was Langley who put in the hours, the travel, and the hard work.
According to US Weekly, the 'Choosin' Texas' star has since unfollowed Green on social media.
Hopefully, though, they can figure things out, because, let's face it, another duet from those two would be a massive hit in the future.
