Yesterday (Oct.13), Christopher M. Carroll was sentenced to 25 years on three charges related to spreading his bodily fluids at his workplace at the Baltimore County Fire Department, according to CBS News. The state had asked that the 36-year-old serve 30 years.
The three counts were all related to work incidents. Carroll had worked as a paramedic at the county fire station and the fire department headquarters.
An emotional Carroll told the court he was "truly sorry to everyone involved" before his sentencing Tuesday, per the Baltimore Banner.
Carroll was arrested back in February. According to CBS News, the disgraced paramedic was charged "with 20 counts of knowingly and willfully causing another to ingest bodily fluid." He was also slapped with three charges of malicious destruction of property. Carroll was not granted bond.
By August, the former paramedic accepted a plea deal, pleading guilty to three of the charges. From there, disturbing details emerged concerning the accusations.
CBS News reports that authorities began an investigation into Carroll after allegations surfaced in September and December of 2025. A slew of disgusting details surrounding the paramedic's alleged actions included spreading bodily fluids inside Baltimore County Fire Station 2 in Pikesville and the Baltimore County Public Safety Building.
This allegedly included spreading his bodily fluids on coworkers' personal belongings and work equipment.
The accusations also included Carroll placing his body fluids into the communal coffee creamer, a co-worker's computer keyboard, and an ice machine at Station 2. Prosecutors also alleged that he put bodily fluids inside meals cooked at the firehouse.
The Paramedic's Alleged Crimes May Have Also Taken Place Outside of His Places of Employment
Carroll was allegedly caught on surveillance video committing the various disgusting acts. He also reportedly recorded himself doing them dozens of times. The paramedic reportedly posted many of the videos online for monetary gain.
Unfortunately, the alleged heinous acts weren't isolated to his places of employment.
Prosecutors alleged that Carroll filmed himself in other places participating in similar behaviors. They claimed there was footage of Carroll urinating on a plug-in air freshener at a doctor's office. They also alleged other incidents with minors within range to see the acts.
The Baltimore County Fire Department suspended the paramedic when the investigation began.
