What should've been a pretty chill performance by a popular EDM band at Austin City Limits Festival was interrupted by a completely naked man galivanting on stage.

The naked man reportedly escalated things beyond dancing, eventually becoming combative with crew members near the sound booth.
It all went down (and hung out) during The Chainsmokers Oct. 9 performance at the festival in Zilker Park in Austin, Texas. The "Closer" band was focused on delivering sweet EDM-pop tunes when a man reportedly disrobed and pranced on stage.
Footage obtained by TMZ and a NSFW Reddit thread show the man, wearing just his birthday suit and a pair of shades, giving Luke Bryan a run for his hip-shaking money as the band performed. TMZ added that the unidentified naked man also smeared mud all over his body, as one does.
"Bro was flipping everyone off, put mud on himself, and he tried to fight off anyone who was telling him to put his clothes on," the Reddit post's caption reads. "It went on for ten minutes, and there was no sign of security/apd."
Naked Music Festival Goer Was Reportedly a Real Prancing Pest
The naked man also allegedly became a prancing pest in multiple locations. In the Reddit thread discussing his music festival hijinks, a commenter added NSFW footage of him gyrating near the crowd barricade. Yet another quick clip shows him shuffling near the sound booth.
"Yeah... I was stuck in the soundstage with him for like 10 minutes. He started destroying the soundbooth and stormed the barricade to the main stage..." the Reddit user wrote.
TMZ reports that the "man threw punches and attempted to damage sound equipment."
Seemingly confirming the allegations, another Reddit user wrote, "Dude was absolutely bonkers. He broke some of the equipment at the sound box as well before he ran straight to the crowd bare ass."
So far, the Austin City Limits Festival hasn't commented on the incident. However, according to EDM Identity, The Chainsmokers' Andrew Taggart made a passing reference to it. "Naked man is sending me," he reportedly wrote in the comments section of a video of the incident on TikTok.
It's unclear if the man was ever confronted by security or if police became involved. However, the Reddit poster detailing his hijinks noted: "We removed ourselves from that situation/area and didn't want to stick around for the fallout."
