The 'Big Brother' Star Was a Single Mom

Page Six reported the death of the Big Brother star. Siyavus appeared on the eighth season of the CBS reality show in 2007.

The Las Vegas resident was known for her emotional moments on the show. She often cried around the house, earning the nickname "Whamber." She also bonded with cast mates Jameka Cameron and Dustin Erikstrup.

Siyavus ultimately placed seventh on her season, which Dick Donato won. His daughter, Daniele, took second.

She was the only cast member to reach the jury phase without winning Head of Household or Power of Veto. She also spoke about her daughter, Lexi Tomcavage, and her experiences as a single mother.

After her appearance on Big Brother, Siyavus began working as a cocktail waitress at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Amber Siyavus Made Headlines in 2018

The Big Brother alum also made headlines in 2018, when Tomcavage died in an apparent suicide at age 18.

It is unknown whether Siyavus had a partner or other children.

The news comes less than a year after the death of fellow Big Brother star Mickey Lee. The event curator from Atlanta was an early favorite to win the 27th season of the show. She died on Dec. 25, 2025, at age 35.

Lee's family shared on Instagram earlier that week that she "suffered a series of cardiac arrests following complications from the flu and is now in the ICU in critical but stable condition."

"Mickey captured the hearts of audiences nationwide through her appearance on 'Big Brother', where her authenticity, strength and spirit left a lasting impression on fans and fellow cast members alike," a message to fans read. "She will be remembered for the joy she brought into the lives of so many and for the genuine connections she formed both on and off screen."
