"I'm boarding a plane to Nashville to play with the Beach Boys at the Ryman Auditorium, struggling to put my feelings into words," Stamos wrote on Instagram Sunday alongside a pair of photos of him with the Beach Boys frontman.

"My beloved friend, father figure, musical hero and mentor, Mike Love, is facing serious health challenges," he added.

"We hope he'll be doing what he loves for years to come, but we don't know what the future holds. We have tonight."

Despite his health issues, Love has continued performing despite doctors, family and friends urging him to focus on his health.

During the band's Oct. 10 concert in Cincinnati, Stamos told the crowd that Love was advised to take time off, but was fueled by passion to continue performing.

"It's what he loves the most," Stamos said. "He loves the audience and he loves the music. He knows how important it is to all of you. We're all here to support him and give him as much love as we can."

Once videos of the band's Endless Summer Gold world tour began circulating, fans were shocked to see the iconic singer in such rough shape.

Many noted that the singer remained seated throughout the Oct. 10 performance. Others pointed out that his bandmates handled the lead vocals on many songs, while Love joined in on background vocals at times.

"Mike Love in this state reminds me of Brian Wilson's last concerts in 2022, unfortunately. It's startling to see how much Mike's health has declined compared to the beginning of this year," a fan commented on a YouTube video of the band's Oct. 10 concert.

"I have no idea why anyone thinks bringing him on stage like this would enhance a show people attend for entertainment. You can't tell me Mike enjoys being on stage in this state. It is clearly very hard for him. If his illness is one from which he can make a sufficient recovery, then wait until he is in better shape. If he actually wants to return, let him. But until then, they should not bring him in this condition," another fan commented.

Mike Love has been one of the band's lead vocalists since co-founding the Beach Boys in 1961.
