Billionaire pop queen Taylor Swift has brought down the ire of her new neighborhood, with concerns that her privacy fence plans may be too close to an old sewage line and that local deer may get impaled on it.

Indeed, things went from "So High School" to "So HOA" with Swift's new Cleveland lakeside home she's developing along with her new husband, football player, game show host, and podcast personality Travis Kelce. TMZ reports that an Architectural Review Board meeting went down last month in which a team representing America's favorite couple explained their plans for an elaborate privacy fence.
Reportedly, the proposed aluminum fence will be 6 feet tall, black, and powder-coated. The transcript of the meeting, obtained by TMZ, explains that Swift's fence will be built about two feet inside their property to avoid an old sewage line. Swift and Kelce also plan to add a line of trees behind the fence, allegedly for extra privacy.
Katherine Bolton, one of Swift's neighbors, had some bad blood with the privacy measures. In the transcripts, she suspects the trees won't be far enough away from the decrepit sewage line. Bolton also seems to think the "Blank Space" singer and her NFL star beau are just tourists in Cleveland.
"This applicant may decide to sell her house next year, move on, and buy another house," she reportedly said at one point during the meeting.
Taylor Swift's Privacy Plans May Result in Hapless Deer Impaled on Fence Posts, Apparently
Meanwhile, during the council meeting, the safety of local fauna in the wake of the proposed fence was raised. It seems locals are worried that deer may be run through by posts supporting the privacy fence.
It does sound a little like Swift and Kelce's Cleveland area getaway may become a house of horrors.
However, maybe old Tay-Slay can use this to feed her muse. She can glance out the window, taking in multiple dead deer strewn about a sewage-laden black fence. Surely that would inspire a fun song or two. Maybe she should invite George R. R. Martin over! That devastating scene could motivate him to finally finish A Song of Ice And Fire!
Geez. What a way for neighbors to push back just as Swift graced their ears (and hearts!) with a tribute to Cleveland. In true Swift fashion, she cleverly titled "Cleveland!"
Yes, the song has very on-the-nose lyrics declaring Kelce the love of her life. But Swift also sings, "He already took me to Cleveland and showed me the Heights!"
The video for the track even shows her and Kelce driving around The Forest City.
See, she totally likes Cleveland, guys. Give her that sewage deer carcass fence!
