Judd and Grace are not communicating right now. In fact, the singer said this recently when she was a guest on The Shawn Ryan Show. "I just found out on TikTok that she's had another baby in prison, and I don't even know if it's a boy or a girl."

Judd is musing about her life right now, having just released a very honest and highly personal LP, The Hard Truth. She shared with the outlet, "I really lost myself with Grace and I enabled her, which comes down to basically giving her money for drugs. And here I thought I was buying her a car. And those things really bit me in the butt." She mentioned, "And I'm still feeling, you know, some guilt and shame about that."

Judd Gave Some Wise Advice to Other Parents

She even offered some wisdom to other moms and dads whose troubled children are having problems. It involves being a role model of sorts. "I would say work on yourself. That was one of the things that I was told. And working on myself, getting the peace, letting her see that she's attracted to that. Maybe she wants to get better herself. So let the light shine."

The singer went on, "Let your light shine through the cracks, that's how they see the light," she continued. "And hopefully she'll want the same thing that I have. Find someone whose recovery you love so much that you want to be like them and go and do it."

She Has Had To Come to Terms With a Crushing Possibility

Wynonna Judd knows that there is a possibility that Grace may never stabilize her life. And it really hurts her as a parent. "...[T]here might be a chance that my daughter doesn't get clean, that she doesn't find the healing that she so desperately needs. As a mother, I'm devastated by her story, and I just had to let go."

She heartbreakingly observed, "After all these years, the money ran out, and she did, too. And I just have to make peace with the fact that I did everything I could do. Including enabling, and I've had to deal with that. And just the pain of losing her to meth and realizing that there's absolutely nothing I can do to save her anymore."

Judd Finally Urged Grace To Stop Blaming Her Mother

The two at last reached a breaking point in their relationship. It happened when Wynonna Judd stopped enabling daughter Grace Kelley. She said to the outlet, "Things were tense because I wasn't giving her money anymore and helping her to go back to rehab again and again and again, and again. And I just had to say, 'Sweetheart, you know, you're 30 years old. It's time to stop blaming your mom. And I want you to get the help that you need, and you're gonna have to do it yourself.'"

She hopes that Grace gets sober before they can think about having a connection again. Additionally, Judd would love to see Grace to get off drugs for good. "I'm waiting for my daughter to return from a nightmarish addiction to meth. And it has been quite a journey. And unfortunately, she's been incarcerated since ... on and off since she was 17."
