Real Housewives of Potomac alum Mia Thornton was arrested in November 2025 for allegedly swiping thousands of dollars' worth of swanky furniture from a condo she was renting in Atlanta. The Atlanta Police Department shared that officers arrested the reality star at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Nov. 19 "without incident."
Now, TMZ is reporting that the Fulton County District Attorney has filed a felony theft charge against Thornton. Legal documents obtained by the outlet allege that the reality star and an associate, Jared McGriff, managed to make out with furniture and a TV in October of 2025. The docs place the value of the items at more than $5,000 but less than $25,000.
The documents also claim Thornton and McGriff took the items from the furnished condo in the middle of the night.

Shortly after her arrest, the 41-year-old took to social media.
"Composure over chaos. Grace over noise. This birthday, I'm choosing alignment, elevation, and elegance — always," she wrote in a Nov. 25 Instagram post, per PEOPLE.
"This past week reminded me of the importance of staying grounded, especially when life feels loud," she continued alongside a black-and-white glamour shot of herself. " I'm stepping into another year with clarity, accountability, and gratitude. Challenges don't define me — how I rebuild does."
She took to Instagram yet again shortly after, adding: "Refined. Unmoved. Unshakeable. I don't break — I become better. Happy Birthday to me."
"In the midst of unexpected moments, I'm remembering who I am: a mother, a creator, a woman evolving in real time. I'm choosing peace, accountability, and personal growth," the reality star continued. "Thank you to those who continue to support my journey."
Meanwhile, a police report obtained by PEOPLE stemming from the alleged furniture heist is a bit less hyperbolic.
In the document, the condo's property management alleged the unit's furniture was taken "in the middle of the night."
"The tenants also took all of the furniture which was in the unit prior to their move in as well as the tv which was on the wall," the docs alleged. PEOPLE also noted that the police report said the property management valued the stolen property at $11,000.
Mia Thornton announced her depature from Real Housewives of Potomac in April 2025.
