Otis Wilson & His Wife Involved in Altercation With Soldier Field Security

Per ESPN, the altercation occurred after Wilson and his wife tried to board an elevator on the suite level of the stadium on Sunday. When the couple tried to board, two personnel from Monterrey Security approached them. The company said that Wilson and his wife were approached because they were not wearing the credentials that confirmed they had access to the suite level. They were "politely" asked to use a different elevator to get to their exit.

Monterrey said that Wilson refused to comply with the directive. And instead "forced his way onto the elevator." They also claim that the Super Bowl champion got into a physical altercation with the female officer.

The security company said the former Bears linebackers "aggressively threw the female into a wall," which left a "large hole in the wall."

However, when speaking to the outlet, Wilson hit back against the claims made by the security company. He insisted that they were the aggressors in the situation. He said that he and his wife boarded the elevator with other members of the media. Upon entry, the officers began to "assault" him and his wife.

In the aftermath of the altercation, Wilson says he holds no ill will for the Bears or Soldier Field. But he does want Monterrey Security to "address" the altercation. Because it was their officers who were ultimately responsible.

"Soldier Field has been part of my life for many years, and my relationship with the Chicago Bears and with this city's fans remains as strong as ever. This incident does not reflect the Bears organization or the people of Chicago. It reflects the conduct of specific individuals working for a private contractor, and that conduct must be addressed," he said.

A police investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
