It's really happening!

According to a source who spoke with Page Six, it would appear that Aerosmith will be working a two-night show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. These will be the first shows the band has played since they threw out plans for a farewell tour in 2024.
The decision to cancel the farewell tour came after Steven Tyler suffered a gnarly vocal cord injury. However, the source has noted that Tyler's vocal cords are now in "great" shape. Furthermore, the 78-year-old frontman is reportedly excited to be back on stage.
It's fair to assume that both shows are going to be a spectacle. Therefore, it shouldn't be a stretch to envision Aerosmith drafting in a long line of talented and highly popular guests to work on the show.
The band initially teased the two-night return on social media. They posted a video of Tyler and Ross Halfin. Tyler was then asked if he missed performing.
"Of all the things I've ever missed, I missed my mind the most," he replied.
The teaser was one of the few times we've heard from Aerosmith since they called off their return tour. At the time, there we worries that we wouldn't see them on stage again.
"Sadly, it is clear, that a full recovery from his vocal injury is not possible," the band wrote at the time, via Page Six. "We have made a heartbreaking and difficult, but necessary, decision — as a band of brothers — to retire from the touring stage."
Never say never. Even if Aerosmith's return is short-lived, it will be great to see them back on stage once again.
Aerosmith Have Made the Occasional Appearance
While Aerosmith's live tour was scrapped, that didn't mean they completely stepped away from live performances. Instead, they drastically scaled back. In 2025, they appeared at the MTV Video Music Awards to perform alongside Yungblud. They performed a tribute to the late, great Ozzy Osbourne.
Even more importantly, the additional rest has likely had a positive impact of Tyler's vocal cords.
"The insider said Tyler has been taking good care of his voice since the canceled tour, including plenty of rehab and rest," Page Six reports.
Aerosmith has teased a huge announcement at 10 Eastern on Tuesday, October 6. If Page Six's source is correct, fans will be gearing up to see the legendary group live in the very near future.
