Tombstone Put Candy Corn on Pizza — and It Costs Just $1.31

Pizza has proven to be among the most versatile culinary creations in history. Over the years, pizzas have been topped with a wide range of ingredients, including pineapple, chicken, black olives, pickles, anchovies, among others.

This Halloween season, Tombstone is adding another entry to the long list of unconventional pizza toppings: candy corn.

Tombstone, established in 1962, described the candy corn-topped frozen pie as a "deliciously daring trick-or-treat combo."

Tombstone is releasing two flavor options, with one being the candy corn pizza with pepperoni. Per a release, the pizza topped with "zesty tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and classic pepperoni [gets] finished with a touch of Halloween magic via candy corn."

The other is a five-cheese pizza with candy corn sprinkled on top, creating "a creamy combination of five premium cheeses [that's] perfectly complemented by candy corn's surprising sweetness."

Beginning Friday, Oct. 2, customers can get their hands on these specialty pizzas by purchasing a pizza kit. Each kit comes complete with one pizza, three packets of candy corn and preparation instructions.

The candy corn pizzas are available exclusively online at tombstone.com/candycornpizza for $1.31, with three limited drops at 2 p.m. ET on Oct. 2, 9 and 23.

Internet Reacts to Candy Corn Pizza

Last year, candy corn was voted the worst candy in the CandyStore.com annual survey.

Tombstone's decision to drape its pizza pies in candy corn has been met with some resistance online.

"A buck thirty one is honestly the perfect price for something this cursed," a user wrote on X.

"The whole gang attacking the dude that brought candy corn pizza to the function," a user captioned a GIF of a medieval knight beating beaten at war.

One user joked, "$1.31 for a candy corn pizza is either the deal of the season or a dare. Maybe both."

"This is one of the signs of the apocalypse," another commented.

Tombstone is not the only brand shaking things up for Halloween.

Oreos is introducing Oreoids Monsters, their new limited-edition, fudge-dipped Halloween cookies.

The cookies are green, orange, purple, and white. Available in Double Stuf and Golden Sandwich Cookies, each cookie is dipped in fudge. The orange and purple cookies are decorated as Cyclops. The green cookie looks like Frankenstein while the white cookie is a mummy.
