Rock musician Ben Kaiser underwent a 14-hour surgery in September.
He shared, "I'm out of surgery and recovering! Got the most metal scar now! So, I'm now three weeks removed from my surgery. Healing pretty nicely, but I am growing sick and tired of resting. Three more weeks of resting. Maybe five. Who knows?"
This comes after the rock musician shared he had a big surgery coming up.
Rock Musician Shares Surgery
"I'm just jumping on here to give you guys a brief update as to what's going on with my wonderful health situation,"
he said in a video. "So, the last time I gave you guys an update, pretty much the doctors told me we are going to be five more rounds of chemo and three stem cell transplants and the whole nine."A couple weeks ago, I got some scans, and those scans showed significant progress from April," he continued. "So, we are thrilled about that. There's still cancer left, but the doctors feel pretty good about moving forward with surgery. So, in about two weeks, I'm going to have a massive 12, 13-hour operation. They are going to cut open my whole abdomen and pretty much try to remove everything that's left."
Right now, the rock musician shared that he is on the mend and will take time to recover. This comes after he previously revealed doctors had diagnosed him with stage 4 cancer.
"Fingers crossed, this is the final step in what has been a very exciting journey for me this year," he continued. "So, I just wanted to update you guys. I'm doing good. I feel as good as one can given these circumstances, and most of all I'm just antsy to get back out and not only live my life, but do the things I've wanted to do this year and haven't been able to because of my medical (expletive)."
