Christopher "Suds" Sutherland has sadly passed away at the age of 58. He was a beloved rock drummer, best known for his work in the theatrical world. Christopher's wife, Tina Faye, announced his death in a heartfelt post on social media.

"Friends. It's with the saddest possible heart that I share that our beloved Chris Sutherland passed away last night," she wrote, via Suggest. "It was entirely unexpected. More information will be shared as we know later. Thank you all for your love. I am safely surrounded by many people who love me dearly."
Shortly after Tina's post, the Instagram account for The Notebook: The Musical released a post about Christopher's death.
"It is with heavy hearts that we share the loss of a beloved member of The Notebook family," the social media post read. "Chris Sutherland, a talented musician in our touring orchestra, passed away this weekend. Our deepest sympathies go out to Chris's friends and family, and we send all our love to his wife, Tina. The Notebook is all about the memories we carry with us, and we will always carry the memories Chris gave us the gift of having."
Sutherland had previously worked on the show, impressing with his musical talent.
The Death of Christopher Sutherland Was Unexpected
According to Jeff Neill, who was a bandmate of Christopher's, his death was unexpected.
"Chris passed suddenly in Detroit when Chris lost consciousness, and the emergency team was unable to resuscitate him in his hotel room," Neill wrote
on Facebook. "We are all devastated by this news."Neill then continued by praising Christopher's talent and the role he played within the band Streetheart.
"Chris was an integral part of the Streetheart family for many years and although we have missed having his amazing spirit around us and his immense talent driving the groove bus for this band the past few years, we have all been cheering him and Tina along in their new adventures together," he wrote.
Fans have since set up a GoFundMe to help Tina through this difficult period. The fundraiser has a goal of $35,000. Currently, over $30,000 CAD has been raised.
At the time of writing, no cause of death has been made public. Furthermore, details regarding an impending funeral have not been released. That information will likely remain private, for family and close friends.
