Bruno Kramm has died at the age of 58. The co-founder of the German electronic band Das Ich collapsed after a performance in Spain on Friday, Sep. 25.

Distortiongirl Evontos, the event's organizer, issued a statement.
"Devastated and with a heavy heart, I have to announce Bruno Kramm, a member of the band Das Ich, has passed away after his concert in Granada," it read. "Unfortunately, we couldn't do anything more for him."
Bruno Kramm Was a Groundbreaking Musician
As reported by Express, Kramm founded Das Ich with Stefan Ackermann in the late 1980s. The two first met at the Crazy Elephant discotheque in Bayreuth, Germany, in 1986. They played together in the group Dying Moments before launching Das Ich.
The duo became one of the most popular acts in the New German Death Art music scene in the 1990s. Topping both the alternative and independent charts several times, many of the duo's albums are considered influential. They include Die Propheten, Staub, and Egodram.
Kramm Also Ran His Own Label
Kramm was also creatively active outside of Das Ich. He worked as a producer and ran his own label, Danse Macabre.
Tributes to Kramm have come in on social media. One fan wrote, "Saw Das Ich in Phoenix years ago! Great show, I have never seen anybody hit the keys as hard as he did that night, he played with a fury! RIP Bruno."
Another shared, "I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of a legendary figure from the German 'Death Art' and post-punk scenes. Many people fail to realize just how wonderful and diverse the global goth and post-punk cultures are, or the vast array of backgrounds and individuals that make them up. He was one of the key figures who-brick by brick-helped build the foundations of post-punk and industrial music. His absence will undoubtedly be deeply felt. As a fellow German, I feel this loss all the more keenly."
