A rock icon won't be attending the Rock and Roll induction for her band. Gillian Morris, the keyboardist for New Order, is missing the event.

She is fighting cancer. Morris revealed that she and her husband, Stephen, won't be attending the Hall of Fame Induction. Previously fans thoughout that Stephen was the one battling cancer. This came after Stephen did an interview with Rolling Stone.
"I've got a bit of a health problem at the minute, which precludes leaving the country for any length of time," he told the outlet. "I really don't want to dwell on what this illness is, but it's pretty serious. It's not something that someone's going to come up with a cure for."
Rock Icon Reveals Cancer Diagnosis
This prompted the rock icon to announce her cancer on social media.
"Thank you to everyone who has reached out following Stephen's recent interview with Rolling Stone," she wrote on social media. "We have both been incredibly touched by all the kind words and well wishes.
"I would like to gently clarify a misunderstanding from the interview, in the course of which comments were misinterpreted leading people to believe that Stephen is seriously ill," she continued. "Thankfully, he is well. It is in fact me, who like many other people, is living with cancer. We completely understand how the misunderstanding arose and simply wanted to ensure that the correct information was shared.
The rock icon also added, "We are enormously grateful for everyone's kindness and support and would appreciate some privacy as I continued with treatment."
Following the announcement, several people wished her the best.
"He said it like a true love would," one wrote. "Like yours is his. Like there's no you or him in this. Just you 2. The other two ... Be well, Gillian."
"Sending you love, well wishes, healing energy, and gratitude Gillian," another also commented. "I'm grateful you are now taking the time to concentrate on healing yourself, and hat you have a great partner helping you do that! Sending you the best wishes on your recovery!"
