Zoe Saldana Pumps Brakes On Joining Another Sheridan Show
Sheridan has shown that he can't miss with hit series like Lioness and Yellowstone. But despite Sheridan's success as a writer, Zoe wants people to pump the brakes on her joining another one of his productions.
"I think that Joe McNamara and Lioness is all that I can handle at this time," she said during a recent sit-down with PEOPLE.
When speaking with the outlet about the possibility of expanding her role in Sheridan's universe, Saladana stated that she has her plate full producing and starring as Joe McNamara in Lioness.
"I'm number one on the call sheet. I am first one in, last one out. I am prepping months before anybody ever is able to prep. So it's already a lot of work for me," she added.
Lioness follows the life of a secretive CIA operations team. One that recruits female operatives to infiltrate high-level terrorist organizations by getting close to the targets' wives, daughters, or girlfriends.
When speaking with PEOPLE about the characters in the show, the Drumline star praised Sheridan for how "gender-fluid" he made the Characters in Lioness. She said that shows the true mark of a talented writer.
"When you write something so incredible that it kind of defies gender and race, and it's just about the merit of that human being, I feel like you give yourself the opportunity of a wider range of actors that can come in and sort of vie for that part," she said. " I have a great deal of respect for men who really know how to write women, and I think that Taylor gives himself enough credit.
No word on when Season 4 of the hit production will air. Stay tuned for more updates.
