We all know that NFL has some pretty strange rules. Most of them, naturally, come down to aspects of the game that most people don't really think about.
I mean, look at the "palpably unfair" rule, as an example. As Daily Sports X so aptly puts it, "Imagine that your favorite team is about to score a touchdown. The running back is sprinting down the field, alone, when a coach from the OTHER team runs onto the field and tackles them. This would be considered a Palpably Unfair Act".
But, of course, some rules come down to the conduct of the players. One of these is "offensive demonstrations" - something players are forbidden to do.
Enter stage left, 49ers star Kyle "Juice" Juszczyk. September 20 saw the 49ers absolutely slam the Dolphins in a decisive 35 - 13 victory.
During the game, Juszczyk did his signature celebration - miming drinking as he pulls his hand up over his head. Makes sense, right - considering his nickname, "Juice"?

The 49ers Star Was Sent a Letter
Per People, four days later came a pretty unsavory letter from the NFL, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The NFL had ended up interpreting his iconic celebration as him chugging a beer.
(Not that I'd blame him - beating a team that hard constitutes a more alcoholic celebration than just juice!)
They wrote, "Your imitation of chugging a beer constituted an offensive demonstration and could reasonably be construed as being in poor taste," the letter read.
Along with the letter came a possibly more unsavory thing - a fine of $14,926. Schefter reported that Juszczyk has already appealed.
He took to social media to lambast the fine, writing, "Can't make this stuff up".
Fans and celebrities alike were quick to laugh at the whole thing. One fan wrote, "Meanwhile, there was a beer commercial 30 seconds later."
Travis Kelce responded alongside his company, Garage Beer, exclaiming, "We'll pay it." "Juszczyk should threaten to counter sue for defamation. How dare the NFL allege false accusations. No way they can prove he was chugging alcohol. He was chugging that 'juice'."
We hope that he manages to fight off this wild fine.
