Angry Anderson has sadly passed away at the age of 79. The Australian rock star was only a few weeks removed from suffering a heart attack while on tour in Europe.

Following Anderson's death, a representative issued a statement.
"It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gary 'Angry' Anderson on the eve of Monday 21 September 2026, surrounded by his loved ones here in Australia," the rep wrote in their statement, via The New York Post. "Angry was a devoted father, and much-loved member of his friends, bandmates and the wider music and entertainment community. His loss will be deeply felt by all those who knew and loved him both here in Australia and overseas."
The statement then concluded by noting how Anderson's family are requesting that their privacy be respected as they navigate such a difficult time.
"The family and band members are asking for privacy at this difficult time and will not be giving interviews," the statement continued. "We kindly ask that their wishes are respected as they come to terms with this devastating loss and take time they need to grieve."
Following Anderson's heart attack, Rose Tattoo canceled their upcoming shows before ultimately calling off the final leg of their European tour.
