Jack Farrell, the son of celebrity Hamptons developer Joe Farrell, is in hot water after allegedly running over a beachgoer while eyeballing a lifeguard.

The 21-year-old is up against a $7 million lawsuit stemming from the alleged incident, according to Page Six. Per the outlet, the painful-sounding incident took place on Aug. 18 on a Bridgehampton beach in New York. Jack Farrell was driving one of his dad's company pick-up trucks at around 5 pm local time on West Cameron Scott Beach.
That's when Farrell's hungry eyes allegedly got him in a bit of trouble.
According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Farrell was absorbed into "looking at the lifeguard when he inadvertently ran over a beachgoer that was lying in the sand."
In the docs, the hapless beachgoer glimpsed the "undercarriage" of the truck "as it drove over him,' just as he opened his eyes.
Meanwhile, an eyewitness reportedly told a responding officer that Farrell barely managed to avoid running down another person enjoying the beach nearby.
The alleged reckless driving is just the start of the celebrity developer's son's possible legal woes. Southampton Town Regulations state that driving on the beach during the hours when the alleged incident took place is unlawful.
How the Alleged Victims Zeroed in on $7M in Damages
Pablo Ibanez Fernandez (who was reportedly hit in the alleged incident) and his brother, Alberto Fernandez (who reportedly barely avoided getting run over), filed suit in the Eastern District of New York against Jack and Farrell Building on Sept. 18.
Pablo "has sustained fractures" and "suffered serious permanent personal injuries," the lawsuit alleges, per Page Six. In addition to medical expenses, Pablo, a 31-year-old resident of Spain, is also claiming "loss of wages." Meanwhile, his brother Alberto claims he "has been caused emotional harm and mental distress."
Pablo is asking for "$3,000,000 in compensatory damages and $3,000,000 in punitive damages," according to the documents. Alberto is filing for $1,000,000, "together with interest, costs, and disbursements of this action."
The total sum of the lawsuit adds up to $7 million in damages.
Farrell Buildings boasts several celebrity clients, such as Madonna, Kelly Ripa, and Kelsey Grammer. Per Page Six, they specialize in "McMansions," which they've built all over the Hamptons. The over 400 luxury homes built by the company are valued at as high as $3 billion.
Stars like Beyoncé and Justin Bieber have also rented Joe Farrell's former humble abode, dubbed the "Sandcastle" in Bridgehampton.
