Eagles Star Says 157 Degree Field Melted 2 Pairs of His Cleats During Game

The Philadelphia Eagles' win against the Tennessee Titans came at a cost. And for offensive lineman Cam Jurgens, the cost of a win was two pairs of his cleats.

Jurgens and the Eagles traveled to Tennessee on Sunday (September 20) for their Week 2 matchup with the Titans. And the playing conditions were rugged, to say the least. Temperatures on the field reached as high as 157 degrees. After the Eagles secured a 24-20 win, Jurgens told reporters that the field had melted the rubber off two pairs of his cleats.
