Everyone knows that one of the most hilarious tropes of country music is a good old drinking song. And... everyone's right - it's one of the mainstays of the genre.
And that's something that's been proved time and time again. But this time, the two legendary Lukes of country music have thrown their hats in the ring with a beer drinking song. And it's as iconic as you'd expect!
Per Whiskey Riff, the song, titled "Finders Keepers", comes on Luke Bryan's brand new album, Signs. It's a really energetic start to the album, being placed on Track 1. Take a look at some of the lyrics:
So you found that rocky bottom / Made a home in that hole you dug / He stepped in and brought her smile back / She took the "U" right out of "us" / That road you're on, that "I was wrong" one, "now she's gone," yeah, it's a long one / A "gotta move along" one
Finders keepers, losers drinkers, so double down on somethin' strong / You ain't the first to sit on this stool wishin' a girl would get ungone / She's one in a million, I know the feelin', but you know how that sayin' goes / Finders keepers, losers drinkers, hey man, at least the beer is cold / So grab you one, the band is good and the night is young

Luke Bryan Opened Up About His Collab
Of course, a legendary collab like this took a lot of thinking.
Luke Bryan opened up about exactly how he made it happen. in an interview with Cody Alan on Highway Mornings.
""We recorded it, I went in and sang the vocal, and I was like man, you know, I didn't have a kind of a collab or any ideas on the album yet. And I just texted over to Luke, and I did the whole thing like, 'Man, obviously no pressure but just wanted to get your read on this.' He goes, 'I'm in.' And I was like, 'What do I do now?'"
He also explained just how excited he was to have Luke Combs hop on a track with him. "I've always wanted to get him on a song. Obviously, he's an amazing singer, and we've become buddies over the years. I've always wanted a Luke & Luke moment."
