Jennifer Eckhart, a former associate producer at Fox News, has reportedly died at the age of 36. "Former Fox News associate producer Jennifer Eckhart has died by suicide ... TMZ has confirmed." Eckhart reportedly passed away in Florida, at her home in Hobe Sound. That was on Saturday, the outlet states, citing the Martin County Medical Examiner's Office. Sources in law enforcement allegedly told the outlet that Jennifer Eckhart's death "has been ruled a suicide."

The outlet asserts that Jennifer Eckhart was found by her mom. She allegedly was in "a bathtub with a knife nearby."
Eckhart Alleged That a Former Fox News Anchor Sexually Assaulted Her Years Ago
In 2020, Jennifer Eckhart claimed that Ed Henry, now a former Fox News anchor, allegedly raped her. She reportedly filed a lawsuit against him. According to TMZ, "She alleged that Henry sexually assaulted her while they both worked at the network...." Eckhart also allegedly felt that Henry had the clout to derail her career. He allegedly denied her claims and contended that their relationship was consensual.
Per the outlet, "Fox News fired Henry in July 2020 after receiving Jennifer's complaint and conducting an internal investigation." Nevertheless, Jennifer Eckhart's legal case apparently dragged out. She settled the claims she made against Ed Henry in 2025, prior to her case landing in court, per People. (TMZ states that the settlement was reached in 2024.)
She Also Allegedly Criticized Fox News
Jennifer Eckhart also allegedly slammed Fox News in the lawsuit. Eckhart, according to TMZ, believed that the network fell short in safeguarding her from Ed Henry and disciplining him appropriately. Her claims about Fox News were allegedly tossed out. A year and a half ago, a federal appeals court maintained that the network was not aware of Ed Henry's alleged wrongdoing "before Jennifer came forward."
Eckhart "Turned Pain Into Purpose"
She said at the time, "I turned pain into purpose. I think the overarching theme, as far as this case not going to trial, is that survivors do not require validation from a courtroom to emerge stronger than what tries to break them."
Eckhart launched two initiatives to help others. In fact, they seemingly sprung from her own ordeal. One was a podcast called REINVENTED with Jen Eckhart. The other was The Reinvented Project. It was a nonprofit designed to [help] trauma survivors through animal-assisted therapy....," per People.
