Riley Green is facing some unexpected backlash from the fan base. It's not that he's done anything or said anything wrong. It's just that, well, he made a fashion choice that left a large number of people very unhappy.

On Friday, September 18, Green held a private show in Los Angeles to promote his upcoming album, in partnership with Spotify, 'That's Just Me.' However, during the show, it was noticed that Green wasn't sporting his signature mustache. That's when the fanbase began to turn.
"My four-year-old daughter is a huge fan, however(huuuge)," one user commented on Instagram. "I showed her this picture, and she told me to tell you that you need to bring back the mustache. She doesn't approve"
"You need to grow the mustache back ASAP," another user declared.
Fortunately, not all of the feedback was negative. There was indeed a swell of support for Riley without a mustache.
"He's cute with or without the mustache," a fan declared in the comments section.
"Are these recent photos? You look pretty good without the mustache," another said.
Riley Green Is Sticking to His Roots on His Latest Album
Green may be a superstar, but that doesn't mean he's changing his approach. He's still included some songs that detail his life in Alabama, and how his life has changed over the years. Riley addressed those songs at his event in Los Angeles.
"Every year that things are going well and it grows and things get bigger, I always tend to make sure I find a way to write from that same place that got me here," he said. "Which is just small-town Alabama where I grew up. So I always try to go home and write at least four or five songs that are going to be on every record from that mindset of just how I grew up and my family values, like I said, things I wrote about from the beginning."
Green's upcoming album is undoubtedly going to be a success. His fanbase is incredibly supportive of his work. However, he may want to grow the mustache back at some point if he wants to avoid a riot at any upcoming shows.
