Have you heard about the latest NCIS-verse spin-off? Well, it's set to be a doozy.
LL Cool J is set to reprise his longstanding role as Special Agent Sam Hanna as the main character of NCIS: New York. In case you didn't know, he first appeared in the role in the premiere of NCIS: Los Angeles.
Per People, he was pretty excited about the role. "I've been kind of on and off doing the character all along, whether it was going to Hawaii, whether it was doing the mothership, you know, the original... I'm just having fun."
And, while people are (obviously) quite excited about his presence in the show, he's not the only legend set to grace your screen.
None other than Jimmy Palmer is set to appear on the spin-off. Per Deadline, this isn't his first foray into other spinoffs. Palmer, who is played by Brian Dietzen, has already shown up on NCIS: New Orleans as well as NCIS: Hawai'i.
The showrunner for New York, Byron Balasco, also teased the possibility of crossovers in a recent interview. "There might be [crossovers]. I'll put it to you like this: I welcome crossovers. I think crossovers are great, and they're fun. We'll have to see what happens. I mean, we're all in the universe, so you can kind of expect anything like that to happen."

'NCIS: New York' Isn't the Only Show in the Series Universe To Reprise Icons
It's looking to be quite the exciting year for NCIS fans—especially the OGs.
Looking at things, we're going to get two original cast members launched back into the universe we all know and love.
First things first, the heavy hitter—literally. Mark Harmon's Gibbs will return for a full season of NCIS: Origins. We reported on it when it happened.
Fans of the show know that the series follows a young Gibbs as a prequel to the mainline show. Well, his appearance shows a "present-day mystery tied to his '90s Camp Pendleton days in an action-packed story that unfolds all season long".
And Harmon isn't alone in his return to the NCIS-verse. Michael Weatherly's DiNozzo will also be returning, but he's coming back to the mainline show itself. A recent teaser sent fans wild.
