A man in Ohio extended his year-long jail sentence before even leaving the courtroom after throat-punching a police officer and making a sprint for the exits.

Timothy J. Reaggle, 20, allegedly attacked two Columbiana County Sheriff's Office deputies Monday shortly after he was sentenced to one year in prison.
While being escorted through the courthouse, the Ohio native somehow managed to hulk his way out of the handcuffs before knocking a deputy flat with a vicious right hook.
Video footage released by the sheriff's office shows Reaggle racing down the hallway and stiff-arming another cop to the ground. Moments later, the 20-year-old slid down the stairwell and right into the arms of another deputy.
Even then, Reaggle proved tough to bring down, and briefly wrestled free of the third officer. Eventually, an officer tased the fleet-footed convict, bringing him to the ground before he escaped the building.
Leland Monte, who was there for an unrelated matter, recalled the wild incident, in which he assisted the first officer who got sucker-punched.
"I rushed over to the sheriff to make sure he was okay because it was a pretty hard hit. I was very concerned for the officer. Just tried to think fast and make sure he was OK. I don't know what to think. I was having a panic attack, really," Monte said.
Columbiana County Sheriff Brian McLaughlin told WFMJ that both deputies suffered broken bones. They have since been released from the hospital.
Reaggle had just been sentenced to one year in prison in a case dating to Feb. 14, 2025, according to WKBN.
He is now awaiting potential new charges stemming from the courthouse incident.
According to WFMJ, McLaughlin said those charges are expected to include assault on a police officer and felony escape.

Although Reaggle's actions likely earned him additional time behind bars, social media users couldn't help but applaud his tackle-breaking ability.
"Could've been a Pro Bowl running back with a few different life pivots," one user joked.
