New Order will join a loaded 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame class that also features iconic music acts Oasis, Sade, Wu-Tang Clan, Luther Vandross, Phil Collins and Iron Maiden, among others.

Unfortunately, all members of the legendary band will not be present for the ceremony.
Gillian Morris, the keyboardist for New Order, announced that her battle with cancer will prevent her from attending the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Her announcement comes a week after her husband and bandmate Stephen did an interview with Rolling Stone that convinced fans that it was him, not Gillian, battling the illness.
"I've got a bit of a health problem at the minute, which precludes leaving the country for any length of time," he told the outlet. "I really don't want to dwell on what this illness is, but it's pretty serious. It's not something that someone's going to come up with a cure for."

After hundreds of fans showed support for Stephen, Gillian cleared the air and announced that she was battling cancer.
"Thank you to everyone who has reached out following Stephen's recent interview with Rolling Stone," she wrote in a statement posted on the band's Facebook page. "We have both been incredibly touched by all the kind words and well wishes.
"I would like to gently clarify a misunderstanding from the interview, in the course of which comments were misinterpreted leading people to believe that Stephen is seriously ill," she continued. "Thankfully, he is well. It is in fact me, who like many other people, is living with cancer. We completely understand how the misunderstanding arose. I wanted to ensure that the correct information was shared.
"We are enormously grateful for everyone's kindness and support. And would appreciate some privacy as I continue with treatment."
New Order formed in 1980, and Gillian Morris joined the band that same year.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame describes New Order as "postpunk pioneers."
"New Order have continued to evolve musically into the twenty-first century. While embracing their own history and remaining uniquely themselves," the Rock Hall wrote in the band's bio. "They created the goth-rock lifestyle. Then transcended the gloom to become worldwide pioneers of electronic dance music."
New Order will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Nov. 14 at the Peacock Theater.
