Nancy Guthrie was apparently abducted from her home in Tucson months ago. Since then, her daughter, Savannah Guthrie, has made many emotional pleas for her return. It is heartbreaking to have repeatedly witnessed the distraught TODAY co-host literally begging someone to come forward with any clues that unlock the elderly woman's whereabouts. That would enable Savannah and her family to at last say a proper farewell to Nancy. On Tuesday, September 15, Savannah issued yet another urgent request to the public for information on TODAY. This time, however, it was evidently prompted by a caring Emmy winner's post-ceremony remarks.

Savannah Guthrie Thanked Allison Janney
Following her Emmy victory, actress Allison Janney talked about Nancy Guthrie's disappearance in the press room. Per People, she said, "I honestly can say I think about her every day and think about the loss and what Savannah and her family are going through. It truly just took over. I don't think I'm alone too. I think all of America was thinking about her."
In response the next day on-air, Savannah Guthrie seemed deeply moved by Janney's kindness. Speaking to Willie Geist who was sharing the anchor desk, she said, "Yeah, I was so touched to see her do that. It was her moment of her triumph and for her to sit and just take a moment and think about our family."
She Also Talked of Her Beloved Mom
Nancy Guthrie is never far from her daughter's heart. Savannah has been very vocal since her mom was taken about desperately wanting her return. She has also said that not knowing her fate has been extremely hard to bear for her and her family.
This morning, she said, "I never let a moment pass, if I get one, to talk about my mom and how much we miss her and love her, my whole family, my sister and my brother and I and all of our extended families, we're in such pain. We need help. So thank you, Allison Janney, for remembering us and for giving an opportunity for me to renew that call."
Hopefully, one of Savannah Guthrie's pleas will lead to the information that she and her family sorely need.
