The Newlywed Was Seen Last Week
As reported by the New York Post, Dominick Bianchi was last seen on Sep. 8. He left his cellphone, wallet, and car in his East Greenbush, New York, home. The 35-year-old's cause of death has not yet been announced.
"The East Greenbush Police Department extends its deepest condolences to Dominick's family, loved ones, and all those affected by this tragic loss," said Detective Sergeant Michael Guadagnino in a statement issued on Sep. 13. "Our thoughts are with them as they navigate this incredibly difficult time."
He had just married his wife, Julianna Zyra, months ago. She begged for her husband to come home over the last week.
"I know you feel really alone, but there are people who want to help you. If you're seeing this, please, come home," she pleaded.
She shared that he had recently been struggling with his mental health. He also had type 1 diabetes. Family members were concerned that he did not have his insulin with him.
His Family Was Very Concerned
Over the weekend, the New York Post spoke to Bianchi's cousin. She shared that the newlywed had forgotten her birthday, which had taken place weeks before he went missing.
"Every year he reaches out on my birthday like clockwork," she said.
She believed that his forgetfulness may have been caused by the "stress of moving." Bianchi and Zyra had moved back to East Greenbush to be closer to their families.
When she heard about Bianchi's disappearance, the cousin "thought maybe he took off for a little while, but three days? No, this is not right."
"It's the last person I would expect something like this to happen to," she added. She also called him a "good dude."
